Paul, Laurel, and their children, Bethany, Matthew, Gabriel, Miriam, and Jesse-Ana, serve with UIM out of the Tucson base.
The Timblins arrived in Tucson, Arizona on August 1, 2004, to begin work with the UIM Aviation team. Paul is the Director of Maintenance. He has his A&P mechanic license and is currently building his flight time to eventually qualify as a UIM field pilot. Yea!
Paul’s days are busy at the UIM hangar where he uses his mechanical skills in maintenance on the five airplanes that UIM owns. He also keeps track of all paperwork, scheduling, and ordering parts for the shop. Paul also gives the mechanical part of the Technical Evaluations for new recruits looking to join UIM Aviation.
Paul and Laurel met at Piedmont Bible College in Winston-Salem, N.C. and they were married in 1992. Laurel graduated from Forsyth Technical College in 1994 with her Associates degree in Nursing. Paul and Laurel are both MK’s (missionary kids). Laurel was born and raised in Liberia, West Africa, and Paul moved to Germany when he was eight years old.
Laurel spends her time supporting Paul, being Mom, Hostess for the Tucson team, and helping to organize/plan various UIM Aviation events.
