Dennis and Stephanie Joyner

We’re the Joyners; Dennis, Stephanie, Emily, Zachary, Gabriella and Adam.

We’re glad you found us. Thanks for stopping by and visiting. We’ve been down here in Chihuahua, MX for two years now serving as Area Manager. That’s a fancy title they gave us, but what it really means is that we’re here to help make the pilots lives a little easier in any way we can and we’re excited to be a part of the team. It has been exciting to see God work both in and through UIM Aviation here in Chihuahua the last two years.

We have seen God miraculously provide us a beautiful hanger when the airplane was literally let out in the cold at the international airport. We have heard the reports of tribal villagers accepting Christ after many years of work by NTM mountain missionaries. We thank the Lord for the faithfulness of the NTM missionaries in the Sierra and for the privilege and blessing it is to be a part of their support team bringing the gospel to the lost and dying in Mexico.

Stephanie, a native Texan, is a graduate of Hardin Simons and Dennis is a LeTourneau graduate. We have actually been involved with UIM Aviation since Dennis Graduated in 1997. We moved to Tucson, AZ and began working as volunteers with the intention of joining UIM Aviation and being used of God in that ministry. Dennis’ background is as an aircraft mechanic and he has worked on all sizes of aircraft form B-52’s in the Air Force, large commercial airliners, business jets, and plenty of single and twin engine general aviation aircraft. It’s a real joy to have a trade where the challenges and learning never end.

We have 4 children born between 2001 and 2007. Someone once asked us what the best part of being a parent was. We told them that is was getting all of those hugs and kisses from our kids. Have to say it’s still the best part. Get em while you can. It’s a thrill to see them get excited about Davey Crocket, Daniel Boone, the Alamo etc… but even more of a thrill to see them get excited about Bible stories and praying for folks back home.

Airplane in HangarThere are plenty of challenges ahead of us here in Mexico. As a family we have adapted pretty well and two of our children were actually born here. But what would life be without its challenges? For our family, that would have to be language. While we get by just fine, we struggle with the ability to say the things we really want to say in the way we want to way them. That makes for some frustrating conversations at times. Would you pray for us in this area?

The last thing we would like to say is that it would bring such a joy and encouragement to our lives to have you for a visit. Stephanie is one of the best cooks south of the boarder. But don’t take our word for it. Or at the very least drop us an email and let us know you’re praying for us. God has been faithful to provide our needs through the kind generosity of people like you. If you would like to become a monthly financial supporter and being a part of enabling us to serve here in Mexico as, send us an email or call us and we’ll let you know how.
